Though we share this humble path, alone
How fragile is the heart
Oh give these clay feet wings to fly
To touch the face of the stars
Breathe life into this feeble heart
Lift this mortal veil of fear
Take these crumbled hopes, etched with tears
We'll rise above these earthly cares

very beautiful .. loved all of your photos... reallu nice shots!
What I would give to live near a cemetery like this. Gorgeous.
i am fascinated by cemetery architecture. This is by far the best i've seen. Where is it? The song choice is perfect.:)
This cemetery, called Powązki, is one of the oldest in Warsaw. Was founded at 1790.
And yes, it is famous from its unique architecture... Incredible place. The cemetery is renovated step-by-step, but since it's very costly the process is rather slow...
Those shots came from my archive, was taken ca. 10 years ago on real b/w material (Ilford, stil its tonation is my favourite) with Minolta lens... That was the times...
Probably soon we'll have some more photos from this place...
